Covid Warriors scholarship for children of those who lost their lives to Covid.

EduHelp.org.in is setting up a Escrow Powered Crowdfunding Campaign for INR 1 Crore (Rs.10 Million equivalent to £100,000 or $135,000) for a Scholarship Fund.

EduHelp.org.in is committed to providing financial support to deserving students whose parents have sacrificed their life in service of the Covid patients.

Scholarships will be available for children of frontline healthcare workers and other Covid Warriors who lost their lives in India during the Covid 19 Pandemic. Applications will be considered once every month.

Many Doctors, Nurses, Ward Assistants, healthcare assistants, ambulance drivers, paramedics and others have lost their lives fighting Coronavirus and, in most cases, they are the only bread earners in the family. Without help from the Government and their employers, the families may find it difficult to continue education of the children.

The scholarships, each valued at up to INR 10,000 and INR 25,000, are intended to assist students to pay the fees for their chosen course of study. They will be awarded on the basis of meeting the following criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

01. Applicant must be child of a Covid Warrior who has lost life to Covid 19 or become permanently disabled due to Covid 19

Eligible expenses covered:

01. School fees (Limit Rs. 10,000 per year)
02. College fees for Degree Courses (Limit Rs. 25,000 per year)
03. Polytechnic and Skill Development Courses (Limit Rs. 15,000 per year)

Supporting documents required

01. Student's Birth Certificate
02. Bonafide Student Certificate from School / College / Institute
03. Aadhar card
04. Death certificate of Covid Warrior parent
05. Previous year's academic record
06. Letter from School / College / Institute with their bank account details.

How to apply:

Once you have secured admission to your selected course of studies at a school / college or vocational institute, please complete the Online Application Form to be considered for this scholarship.

Apply for this scholarship and upload supporting documents.

Once the Scholarship panel has met, successful candidates will be notified by email by the EduHelp.org.in or partner charity.

Terms and conditions:

The following terms and conditions relate to the EduHelp India's Covid Warriors scholarships for applicants and are valid for the 2021/22 academic year:

The scholarship will be pay part / full fees up to the maximum limit specified above and will be paid to school / college / institute directly.

The student must submit receipt from the school/college.

Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Panel, subject to available donations collected for the campaign, in the previous month.

Students getting other scholarships / freeships will be eligible to apply for the shortfall only.

The scholarship is intended to assist the student to meet the cost of the course fee and should not be used for other purpose.

Only one scholarship is available per student per year.

Applicants will only be considered for one round of applications and can re-apply if unsuccessful.

This scholarship scheme is open to anyone within India for studies within India.

If the student discontinues studies, any refunds available should be sent to EduHelp.org.in so that the funds can be made available to someone else.

If there are surplus funds in any month, the funds will be carried forward to the next month.
