According to the 2009 Right to Education Act of India, schooling is free and compulsory for all children from the age of 6 to 14.

As per the statistics on Education in India, less than half of India's children between the age 6 and 14 go to school. At least 35 million children aged 6 - 14 years do not attend school. 53% of girls in the age group of 5 to 9 years are illiterate.

Dropout rates are high in India due to various reasons, one of which is the lack of finances and only a small percentage of students go for higher education. Hardly a little over one-third of all children who enrol in grade one reach grade eight in India.

We all know and agree that education widens a person's horizons and when number of educated persons goes up in a community economic wellbeing also improves for the community. The same is true for the nation as well.

Higher education is one of the key drivers of growth in any economy.

However, we are aware that cost of education is rising very fast and you all must have come across some cases where a brilliant student could not continue studies. We feel that when a student is forced to drop out from school or college it is like we are stopping watering of a healthy and nicely growing plant.

We know the need is to make education affordable so that more and more young citizens of India can get the education they deserve and contribute to the growing economy of India.

So, what can we do to help you study in the field you are passionate about?
