Crowdfunding for Education in India. How can it make positive impact in India?

Let's all join hands to help students in India in fulfilling their dream.

'Education for every child in India' is a nice objective to have, however all of us know that millions of children in India are not able to complete full cycle of education from primary school to secondary school to a university.

We must realise that every student that drops out of education system means a huge loss to the nation and Indian economy and the student as a person.

However, all of us, who have been fortunate to complete our educational journey can come forward to help students in India by crowdfunding.

What is Crowdfunding? Let us see different Definitions of Crowdfunding.

Crowdfunding is the process of funding a project online by collecting small amounts of money from a large number of people.

According to Wikipedia,

Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising small amounts of money from a large number of people, typically via the Internet. Crowdfunding is a form of crowdsourcing and alternative finance.

Crowdfunding makes use of the easy accessibility of vast networks of people through social media and crowdfunding websites to bring fundraisers and donors together, with the potential to increase donations reaching the right projects.

According to chuffed.org,

Crowdfunding (verb): A marketing campaign targeted at people who love you... which if you do well, spreads from your friends to their friends and from them to the crowd.

EduHelp wants to help all those deserving students out there to get help through crowdfunding of donations on education crowdfunding platform.

To give you an idea, let us list few of the likely projects that will be ideal candidates to start a campaign on EduHelp.org.in:

  1. A student gets admission in IIT, IIM, Engineering or Medicine but will not be able to join the course because of lack of funds. This student should create a campaign on EduHelp.org.in.
  2. A school in rural India or a small town wants to buy books for the students or wants help to add a room in the school. The school should create a campaign on EduHelp.org.in.
  3. A student has got the admission in a university but does not have money to pay for hostel accommodation and food. The student should create a campaign for education crowdfunding.

These are just some of the ideas to get you thinking.

We want you to reach your goal in life and we want to help you on your journey.

Who can help students and schools as Donors?

Anyone who can donate a very small sum of Rs. 100 can be a Donor on EduHelp.org.in however, we also welcome from those who cannot donate cash but want to mentor the students or support as volunteers.

We want to invite donors to join the education crowdfunding projects to help the most deserving education projects.

If you wish to help us in anyway, please signup as a supporter / donor.
